Privacy Policy
Effective November 1, 2026
Who we are
Qrofr (spoken Kroffer) is made by Frogtoon Media. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Qrofr iOS app and qrofr.com website collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. Effective date: November 1, 2026.
Information you provide
Account. If you sign in, we store the email address associated with your Apple or Google account so we can sync your online Library and keep each account separate. Library saves. When you Save, we store the item you chose to keep — for example a code link, a photo you snapped, a document PDF, a place name, listing facts, or a translation — on your device, and on our servers only if you are signed in. Contacts. If you choose to save a business card or phone number, Qrofr can write that contact into the Contacts app on your phone; we do not upload your address book. Support. If you email us, we receive whatever you send in that message.
Information collected automatically
Camera. The camera is used on your device to scan codes and snap what is in front of you. Frames are processed to complete the job you picked; we do not run a continuous cloud recording of your camera. Photos. You may upload a photo from your library for certain jobs (for example Plants). Location. With your permission, location is used only while you look up a home so the listing matches what is in front of you — not for advertising. Device and diagnostics. Basic technical logs needed to run the site and keep the service reliable may be collected (for example request timing). We do not sell personal information.
How we use information
We use this information to provide Qrofr: scan and snap features, Library storage and sync, account sign-in, and customer support. We may use de-identified usage patterns to improve reliability. We do not use your Library contents to build a third-party advertising profile in the iOS app.
Third-party services
Sign-in may use Apple and Google authentication. Some snaps open or hand off to third-party services you choose (for example a maps or shopping lookup in Safari or another app). Those services have their own privacy policies. Our servers host signed-in Library sync for qrofr.com.
Retention and deletion
Device Library items stay on your phone until you delete them or remove the app. Signed-in Library items stay until you delete them or close the account. You can delete individual saves in Library. To request deletion of a signed-in account and associated online Library data, email support@frogtoon.com from the address on the account.
Children
Qrofr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact support@frogtoon.com and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can deny camera, location, contacts, or photos access in iOS Settings; some features will not work without them. You can use Qrofr without signing in; Library sync then stays on the device. You can sign out at any time.
